It's been awhile since I thought of anything that should be added to my standard rules.
"If I feel it, I should follow up on it."
Near the start of the spring/summer season I played a game of soccer that I remember only one thing about. There was a girl, a good player, and throughout the game I commented upon her skills... things along the lines of "watch her, she's good, she blah blah blahs". At the end, the eye contact we shared said "interested". I noted her jersey number (#9) and asked a friend who was on the team who she was, thinking that I would see her again. My friend said she didn't know, that she (my friend) was new to her brother's team. I awaited the day that I played against that team again, but either the day didn't come or she wasn't there that day. I still have no idea who she was.
If you want to avoid regret, do something when you have the chance. Talk to her.
