Third Date

The day didn't go as planned, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing.

Today was Canada Day, so I had asked her if she were interested in hanging out all day.  I don't know that she really ever said yes, but I thought she was.

She called at 7 am to see if I was ready.  I wasn't, of course, and went back to sleep.  I woke up again around 10:30, texted her, and she asked if I was coming over.  I said I'd have a shower and be on my way.  She said she was a bit sleepy.  I dragged my ass a bit, having breakfast and washing my car in addition to the shower, so it took me until about 11:20 to get to her place.  As I got there, I looked at my phone, and saw that she had texted me at 11:10, saying she had to go out at 1, so she didn't want me to come over any more.  I replied that I was at her place.  She didn't answer, so after I sat there for a bit (and here's where I made a mistake that wasn't a mistake, but was a mistake) I snuck into her building when someone came out. I knocked on her door, and she let me in.

She was mad that I was late, and mad that I snuck in, but over the course of the day that was smoothed out.  We never quite both made it out of her apartment until the evening.  I had left to coach a soccer game late in the afternoon, returned, and we were going to go over to my place to grab a couple of bikes and head down to the park to watch the fireworks.

When we got to my place, however, my ex and her husband were there with my boys.  They were there in force, with two vehicles that were not mine parked in front of my house.

Needless to say that put the date into another direction, and we drove around for a bit before stopping for supper.  We drove to the park, but she was tired, so we went to her place and spent the rest of the evening there.

In the end, there had been many conversations, constant nudity, massages, cuddling, four attempts at sex, and two meals.  Not as planned, but a day without major regrets nonetheless.
