Supper

I just had supper on the street, where I was joined unexpectedly by a 20-year-old Muslim kid from Kazakstan who asked if he could sit with me. He's studying business in Kuala Lumpur and is taking a week on vacation here. 

He said that his father would not let him go to pray in the mosque so that he would not become a terrorist. The conversation took a few turns including him bringing up Paris and Isis, but it wasn't until the end that it got really disturbing when he said that ladyboys, gays and lesbians had psychological delusions and should be rounded up and sent to another planet. Yikes! I told him not to worry, they were already on planet Thailand, and wished him a good night and goodbye.
