While we were gone on vacation my ex was supposed to arrange to get the boys' football equipment. She talked with the coaches, and found that the boys had to be there for the fitting, so it would have to wait until we got back. She also told them that we got lost in Tennessee (we didn't), and that she would manage the team. Uh oh.
I got into soccer because she volunteered to be team manager there, and I ended up doing half the work at first, then increasingly more, until I ended up where I am now. Which is fine. But I'm not looking to be volunteered to manage a football team now. So tough luck there.
Of course, she could simply actually do it all herself. Fairly unlikely considering past events.
It's probably not a good sign that when the coaches tried to contact her, they used my e-mail address, not hers.
I'm debating how to most delicately tell the coaches that they might want someone else, or at least a co-manager. Otherwise, nothing will ever get done.
