Rebound

It was a week that returned me, for a large part, to a world of productivity and work-focused lucidity. Yesterday, however, was an exception. The night before, I had worked up until midnight, and must have pushed things just hard enough for it to be too much, because despite the pharmacological stimulants I spent the day swimming in the standard fog of tiredness.

It may seem odd, but I could tell at the start of the day that the tiredness was different than it had been the rest of the week. I had a sense that the drugs wouldn't work, and they didn't.

Last night I purposely slept downstairs, away from the kids, and slept in a bit. Although the fish tank light awoke me at one point, it seems to have made a difference. Of course, we'll see what the day holds.
