It's weird and it's not weird.
I've been asked out a couple of times this past month, and I can tell you the exact thought process the preceded it:
"Well, here I am, newly single. Who should I ask out? Oh, hey, what about V, he's a nice guy!"
One mother of a friend of my son, and one cruising buddy who found me through Facebook.
Chemistry just was not a factor...
But I guess it's good to be asked?
Yes. It is good to be asked! :) I remember being where you were. I just got so disillusioned and cynical about men, I started hating dating and started making plans B, C, D. I started really "trying"" to embrace being single forever. I took a fantastic trip to india where I spend a lot of time alone and with books. When I got back I was even more ok with being on my own, with some sad moments of course, but generally I was ok. And voila. That was when I met him. And we've been madly in love ever since. This stupid stupid stupid saying that you will find when you don't seek. True. Although I always thought it was deep bullshit.
