Sun is shining.
Kid and dog disappeared at 1am after a father went out to a car in front
of his house where two red-eyed teens were flicking lighters
repeatedly, and proceeded to discuss the day of the week it was, and the
sleeplessness that has afflicted the household of late.
I can listen to Phantom Planet this morning as a side effect sort of result. It's still very quiet.
I should summarize that "Geography of Bliss" book, either for my own
sake or for sharing. All I remember at the moment is that happiness is
not thinking about happiness, happiness is to not envy, happiness is
having people you trust around you, and that the Thai have a saying "mai
pen lai" meaning "never mind". Which I suppose is four things.
The summer is almost here. The key is to not feel trapped, but instead... home.
Here's a question from the book... where would you want to be buried when you die?
I suppose here is good enough, although the west coast, being my birthplace, comes to mind.
