Partial Disconnect

I have seen or texted or talked to her pretty much every day.  That should be coming to an end now that she is happily dating someone. There is one thing left on the schedule, which is to go see William Shatner next weekend. I had bought tickets for us as a birthday gift to her, just last week, long after we had broken up.

After that… Who knows… But I will be leaving for a two month trip overseas in November. If she and I are still strangely in love when I return, then…but what are the chances? And really, how would we bridge the divide that we had before we broke up?
