Crossover

In improv tonight I did a quick ten second monologue using some of the things that actually happened in my life in the past ten days and it drew big laughs because of course it all seemed preposterous. "That's so meta!" I heard someone say.

In one sense it was therapeutic to get it out, and in another sense it made me sad, knowing how the joke was in the truth. But it got things out of my head and I was able to spend the rest of the class in the moment and in the right headspace, so it was necessary I guess.

I wish there were a career in the arts waiting for me in the wings.  If only I could get overpaid for overacting... I love the experience.

But... I have to save my drama for real life.
