Reset
Once again my goal is to reset my life back to where I was happy with it.
Work a bit. Exercise daily. Eat right. Have a social life. Do something each day that is more than just maintenance.
After the all-night insomnia, followed by the all-day attempt to go straight through to the next evening, I did actually sleep in a somewhat normal fashion. Of course, with that long of a stretch without sleep, an 8 hour session isn't quite enough to make it up, so today was a mixed bag of low productivity and errands. Tomorrow must be better. Or there's going to be trouble. :-) I have 6 (or more, I've lost track a bit) projects on the go at work, and all have impending deadlines.
Boxing Day Fallout
My credit card is maxed out. I had actually cancelled some Boxing Day orders, but the cancellation was refused, which was quite frustrating. Now I have to wait for things to arrive to return them, plus I will be out the shipping. It's as much the wasted time as it is the money that annoys me. Actually it's the pinheads I've had to deal with that have really frustrated me. Managers that make up their own policies contradicting the head office, meaning customers (eg. me) are told one thing then something contradictory. I spent two hours today alone running around because of this nonsense. It's obviously not just me that gets frustrated - I noted today that all of the reasonable employees that used to work in one store now work together in another. A manager changed places, and brought the best with him. The old place has a billboard out front expounding how great it would be to work there. I guess that's why they need new employees, huh?
It's like anything and anywhere... there are smart people, there are helpful people, and then there are their opposites, put in place to drive us all mad.
Last Place Finish
Yes, I think I'm pretty safe in calling the final count for the year as 7. I haven't been on date in months, much less you know what. Sad, what a waste of a year this has been in general. I just couldn't fix myself, fix the sleeping problems, and live. See "Reset" above.
This year I've done nothing but age. A lot. Visibly. :-)
Resolutions
I've been thinking for awhile that next year I need to do two things: Do not buy any more electronics and Do not partake of fast food. Sure, I can tackle my two greatest addictions at once. Sure.
Ok, I'm already thinking I need to have a monthly pizza exemption.
Goodnight
Well, let's just leave it at that and get some sleep. Tomorrow, work, and my youngest wants to camp out instore for the Wii.
