I was at my most humble this weekend.
I did not participate in the ritual inter-team taunting when conversing with other coaches and parents.
When coaching, my verbal output was limited to appropriate moments, appropriate levels.
I never let myself hope too much, even when victory was at hand.
In the end, it felt odd to be so restrained, but I find some honour in not being like others in victory - not arrogant, not gloating, just proud of my players.
