Counterclockwise

After it emptied a bit.
I've had to quickly get used to walking on the left side of the sidewalks here.

All the advice to fit in like a local has gone to waste.  It's not possible in some areas, those where you are the only white guy for miles, and the stares of the people tell you so.  I will likely remember the busboy at Vishad's in Little India for that reason.

The crush of people inside the monorail car is something to experience.  You can see it, but that's not being there.  The tightness, the nervous laughter around one.  The envy of those in an area that have breathing room.

This is a big city, truly a big city.  It encapsulates all that is bad and all that is good, the poorest of the poor to the glittering 12 story malls with all the trendiest world stores.

Everything is in contrast.
