It would be easier to stay on the positive side if it weren't for the long distance, and absence of anything other than IMing. IMing is not our strongest form of communication. She says little, and I hold back. Not to mention it is 5:30am when we chat, she's just woken up, and she has e-mail to check.
I would like to get to know her better, to find out if there is some common ground to build upon, but I will have to be patient. It's not going to happen until she gets back.
