I tried to call the dark-haired girl tonight around 8...
"Hello?" a tired voice whispered at me.
I had called to ask if she might be up later, and ended up waking her up. I apologized profusely, and softly said "goodnight".
I'm not sure she even had hung up the phone before falling back aslepp.
