Not normal

"What madness is this?" she was probably thinking.

"I as I said earlier," I said, "I don't carry a balance. I have no debt."

Telemarketers can get a varied response from me, depending on the product and my mood. In this case, a no-fee, low-interest, high-feature card was offered to me, and I repeatedly combined giving my opinion to her that it was a very good offer with pointing out the fact that I had no need nor foreseeable use for it.

There are probably few people in North America in my position. Not rich, not living a king's life, but also not in debt and not living on credit.

Madness.
