I love to think about the nature and concept of reality...
Here's a reminder that just because we thing we know what something means doesn't mean we do. That, and it made me laugh.
From a comment made on Scott Adam's Blog:
"My best coincidence story involves a trip to Paris. While on my way back from Training (Martial Arts) I walk by the very attractive young lady, and feeling that I knew enough French to at least say hello, I bravely called out to her "Bonjour."
She returned the greeting took two more steps, and then in a decidedly Northern California accents asked, "You are an American aren't you?" We talked for a little while, but realizing that we were both too busy to get together during the trip exchanged email addresses, and agreed to contact each other at a later time.
A few weeks later while on a trip to San Francisco to visit my grandfather, I gave her a call, and we decided to spend some time together. When I told her that I was going to visit my Grandfather in Oakland, she agreed to go with me, and said that she would probably go see her grandfather while we were there.
Long story short, her grandfather, and my grandfather lived in the same nursing home, in rooms directly across from each other.
My first inclination was that this was fate telling me that I was suppose to marry this woman. However later I realized that she was kind of nuts, and realized that fate was just telling me I needed to go visit my grandfather."
