My ex and sons had me over for supper and a birthday cake last night. I really liked the boys' cards. Laughed at the "to the King of the House from His Royals Pains in the Butts" card. Was surprised to see the card from my ex and her beau signed personally by my ex and her beau. (When it came time to sign Christmas cards and the like, we always signed for each other... and this is my ex's new beau wishing me a happy birthday.) You have to admit that its pretty impressive. Still, my overriding thought when he called her later and she mentioned that I was there was that I hoped my presence was not messing up their relationship. :-) That's probably more surprising to some people.
